Find the value of m so that the equation has equal roots and also find the solution if the equation x²-(m+2)x+(m+5)=0

For the equation has equal roots , it's discriminant D should be equal to zero .
That is, D=0
b^2-4ac=0
(m+2)^2-4(m+5)=0
on solving
m^2 -16==0
m=4,-4
