No,we can't since copper wire has low resistivity and high melting and boiling point
So usually fuse is made with alloys of copper

Hey friend,

Here's your answer,

No, we can not use copper wire as a fuse. This is because this metal has a high melting point and is also a very good conductor of electricity.

A fuse is generally made of a material which has a very low melting point and can break off the circuit if excessive current is passed.

On the other hand, Copper wire has a very good conductivity and also because of it's high melting point, it doesn't melts and since the circuit is not broken, it causes a threat to the electrical appliances.

Hope this helps!!!!
