When a body falls freely under gravity , the acceleration produced in the body due to Earth's gravitational attraction is called acceleration due to gravity . It's denoted by "g".
If a body falls down, It's velocity increases by time . So acceleration is +g.
1.So starting from rest after 1 sec, velocity is 9.8 m/s^2
2.After 2 sec the velocity will be 2x 9.8 m/s2
3. After 3 sec, the velocity will be 3x 9.8m/s2
Therefore acceleration produced in freely falling body is said to be uniform because equal changes of velocities occur in equal time interval.
