if the equation is of form ax^2+ bx +c =0
sum of roots = -b/a,
product of roots = c/a
by question
let q be the root of equation given
sum of roots =q +q =-(-5)/p
2q = 5/p
q=5/2p~~~~@1
product of roots = q×q = p/p = 1
q^2 =1
q=1 or q= -1
substitute if q =1 in @1
p=2/5q=2/5
if q=-1
p= - 2/5
finally p= 2/5 or -2/5
