p(x)=5x-4x2+3

p(0)= 5(0)-4 (0)^2+3=3

p(-1)= 5(-1)×-4 (-1)^2+3

=-5-4+3=-6

p(2)= 5(2)-4 (2)^2+3

=10-16+3

=-3

Answer:

i) x = 0           (ii) x = –1        (iii) x = 2

Solution: (i)x = 0

5x – 4x2 + 3

Plug x = 0 we get

=>5(0) – 4(0)2 + 3

=>0 -0 + 3

=> 3

(ii) x = –1

Plug x  = - 1 we get

=>5x – 4x2 + 3

=>5(-1) – 4(-1)2 + 3

=> -5 – 4 +3

=>-6

(iii) x = 2

Plug x = 2 we get

=>5(2) – 4(2)2 + 3

=>10 – 16 + 3

=> -3
