Putting x=√2
P(√2)=(√2)^3-3(√2)^2-2(√2)+6
=>2√2-6-2√2+6

Hello Dear !
______________________________________________________________
p(x) = x³ - 3x² - 2x + 6
Given : X = √2
______________________________________________________________
Solution :
put x = √2 in p(x)
we get
p(√2) = (√2)³ - 3 X (√2)²-2√2 + 6
         = 2√2 - 3 X 2   -2√2  + 6
         = 2√2 - 6 +6 - 2√2
         = 0
