Horizontal Range of projectile means displacement covered by projectile in x - axis.

hence, during motion ,
initial level of projectile = final level of projectile .
hence, y = 0 for finding range

Here,
y = 12x - 3x²/4
put , y = 0

0 = 12x - 3x²/4

12x = 3x²/4

12×4 = 3x

x = 16 m

hence, range of projectile is 16 m

Answer:

16m

Step-by-step explanation:

Horizontal range= displacement covered by particle on x axis

we know that,

initial = final in projectile

therefore, y =0

put y=0 in given equation

12x -  \frac{3}{4}  {x}^{2}  = 0

12x =  \frac{3}{4}  {x}^{2}

12 \times 4 =  \frac{3 {x}^{2} }{x}

48  = 3x

therefore x= 16m
