we can clearly see that 4c° + 90° +4c° = 180°
as the sum of all the angles at a point on straight line is 180°

8c° = 90°
c° = 11.25°

also,

16c° = 180°
c° = 11.25°(answer)

himanshi98: its solved
himanshi98: if any doubt you can asl??
saad9769: thanks can yu please tell me why we had not added 16c
himanshi98: ask??
saad9769: yes why we have nt added 16 c
himanshi98: because 16c will itself be equal to 180° as it is clear from the figure that it is on a straight line
saad9769: thanks can yu do one more like that i have posted it
himanshi98: yaa sure
saad9769: yu can go to my profile and the can yu answer the last question of findin the value
saad9769: please

Answer:

Given that, all the four angles given form 360°.

Hence, 16c° + 90° + 4c° + 4c° = 360°.

Adding the like terms in the equation,

➸ 24c° + 90° = 360°

➸ 24c° = 360 - 90

➸ 24c° = 270°

➸ c° = 270/24

➸ c° = 11.25

Hence, the angles =

  • 9
  • 16c° = 16*11.25 = 180°
  • 4c° = 4*11.25 = 45°
  • 4c° = 45°

______________

  • The pair of angles forming 90 degree are called complementary angles.
  • The pair of angles forming 180 degree are called supplementary angle.
  • A straight line forms 180 degrees.
