\implies \dfrac{x}{3}  +  \dfrac{5}{9}  =  -\dfrac{ 2x}{3}

\implies \dfrac{x}{3}  +  \dfrac{2x}{3}  =  -  \dfrac{5}{9}

\implies \dfrac{x + 2x}{3}  =   - \dfrac{5}{9}

\implies \dfrac{3x}{3}  =  \dfrac{5}{9}

\implies3x =  \dfrac{5}{9} \times 3

\implies3x =  \dfrac{5}{3}

\implies \: x =  \dfrac{5}{9}

Answer:

x/3 + 5/9 = -2x/3

= (3x + 5) / 9 =  -2x/3     {Here we took LCM of 3 and 9 on left side of = sign}

(3x + 5)3 = 9( -2x)         {Here we did cross multiplication}

9x + 15 = -18x

9x +18x = -15

27x = -15

x = -15/27

x = -1/3                            {Here we did cutting with the table of 3}
