Let the point where line segments IS and EC meet be M.

In parallelogram KRIS ,

angle K = 120°

since opposite angles are equal in a ||gm ,

angle RIS = 120°

But from linear pair property,

angle SIL = 180° - 120° = 60°

In parallelogram SILU

angle L = 70°

since corresponding angles sum 180°

angle C = 180° - 70° = 110°

But from linear pair property,

angle ECR = 180° - 110° = 70°

In triangle ICM ,

since the sum of all angles of triangle is 180° ,

60° + 70° + angle CMI = 180°

so,

angle CMI = 180° - 130° = 50°

But angle CMI and angle x are vertical opposite angles. And vertically opposite angles are equal.

Therefore,

x = 50°
