5x + 10 - 10 + 40 = 180
5x + 10 - 10 = 180 - 40 = 140
5x + 10 = 140 + 10 = 150
5x = 150 - 10 = 140
x = 140/5 = 28

* 3x - 10 = ( 3*28) -10 = 74
