2x + 15 = 5x/3 - 45

2x - (5x/3) = -45 + 15

rationalising the denominator

6x/3 - 5x/3 = -30

1x/3 = -30

x = -30 × 3

x = -90

x=-90

2x+15=5x÷3-45

2x+15+45=5x÷3

2x+60=5x÷3

6x+180=5x

6x-5x=-180

x=-180
