3^2(x+2) + 1 = 2.3^(x+2)
(3^(x+2))^2 + 1 = 2.3^(x+2)
let 3^(x+2) = k
k^2+1 = 2k
k^2-2k+1 = 0
k^2-k-k+1 = 0
(k-1)^2 = 0
k-1 = 0
k = 1
so 3^(x+2) = 1 = 3^0
hence x+2 = 0
x = -2
hence the value of X is -2
