Solution : According to the question, here 2x is given on one side whereas 3x on the other side. So, here they lie on the same plane and hence it is a linear pair. In linear pair both the angles are added to get 180° and from there we can get x

Finding x

• 2x + 3x = 180° [linear pair]

• 5x = 180°

• x = 180°/5

• x = 36°

Henceforth, the value of x is 36°
