Solution :-

Hence, 3x - y = 40 and 2x - y = 25. So the the value of ‘x’ and ‘y’ are,

______________________________________

By solving for ‘y’ the value is,

 = > 2x - y = 25 \\ \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = > \blue{ y = (- 25 + 2x)} .....[1]

By putting the value of ‘y’ the value of ‘x’ is,

 = > 3x - y = 40 \\ \\ = > 3x - ( - 25 + 2x) = 40...from[1] \\ \\ = > 3x + 25 - 2x = 40 \\ \\ = > 3x - 2x + 25 = 40 \\ \\ = > x + 25 = 40 \\ \\ = > x = 40 - 25 \\ \\ = > \green{ \boxed{ x = 15}}....[2]

By putting the value of ‘x’ the value of ‘y’ is,

 = > y = ( - 25 + 2x)...from[1] \\ \\ = > y = ( - 25 + 2 \times 15)...from[2] \\ \\ = > y = ( - 25 + 30) \\ \\ = > \green{\boxed{ y = 5}}....[3]

∴ \green{\boxed{(x,y) = (15,5)}}....from[2 and 3]\\

∴ The value of ‘x’ and ‘y’ are ‘15’ and ‘5’ respectively.
