Answer:

In ∆PQN

angle PQN = 50°

angle QNP = 90°

angle QPN = x

<PQN + <QNP + <QPN = 180°

50° +90° + x =180°

140° + x = 180°

x = 180° -140°

x = 40°................. (1)

Now in ∆PQR

<PRQ = 30°

<QPR = 40°

<PQR = <PQN + <RQN

Now,

<PRQ + <QPR + <PQR = 180°

30° +40° + <PQN + <RQN = 180°

90° + 50° + <RQN = 180°

[<PQN = 50° , <RQN = y ]

90° + 50° + y = 180°

140° + y = 180°

y = 180° - 140°

y = 40°.....................(2)
