from the figure

x = 70 (Opposite Intersecting angles are always equal)

Formula :- \mathsf\pink{Exterior \: angle \: = \: Sum \: of \: two \: interior \: angles}

140 = 70 + y \\ y = 140 - 70 \\ y = 70

\therefore x = 70° \: and \: y = 70°
