if a + 1 = 0, then
a = -1
(Putting the value of a in the equation)
= x^2 + (-1)x - 6
= x^2 - x - 6
= x^2 - 3x + 2x - 6
= x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3)
= (x+2)(x -3)
x = (-2), x = 3
a = -1
(Putting the value of a in the equation)
= x^2 + (-1)x - 6
= x^2 - x - 6
= x^2 - 3x + 2x - 6
= x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3)
= (x+2)(x -3)
x = (-2), x = 3
