{x}^{2} + 3x = {x}^{2} + 7x - 18 \\ 3x = 7x - 18 \\ - 4x = - 18 \\ 4x = 18 \\ 2x = 9 \\ \times \: = \frac{9}{2} \\ x = 4.5

 {x}^{2}  + 3x =  {x}^{2}  + 7x - 18 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  + 3x - 7x =  - 18 \\  \\   - 4x =  - 18 \\  \\ 4x = 18 \\  \\ x =   \frac{18}{4}  \\ x =  \frac{9}{2}
