Find the value of x in each of the following : √3tan 2x=cos 60°+sin 45° cos 45°

SOLUTION :

Given :  

√3 tan 2x = cos 60° + sin 45°cos 45°

√3 tan 2x = ½ + 1/√2 × 1/√2

[cos 60° = ½, sin 45° = 1/√2, cos 45° =1/√2]

√3 tan 2x = ½ + ½

√3 tan 2x = (1 + 1)/2 = 2/2

√3 tan 2x = 1

tan 2x = 1/√3

tan 2x = tan 30°

[tan 30° = 1/√3]

2x = 30°

x = 30/2 = 15°

x = 15°

Hence, the value of x  is 15°.
