1.) By exterior angle property of triangle,
x + 30 = 70
=> x = 70 - 30
=> x = 40
2.)
x = 70° [ Vertically opposite angles are equal]
Z +110 = 180 [ liner pair]
Z = 70°
y = 180 - [ 70 + 70]
y = 180- 140
y = 40°

Since they are liner pair angles,
Their sum = 180
