To find:-

Value of x in the figure.

Points to be noted before solving this sum:-

This is a right - angled triangle. The side which is perpendicular to its base is always 90° in a right - angled triangle.

Solution:-

According to the angle - sum property of a triangle,

\sf{30^\circ + x + 90^\circ = 180^\circ}

= \sf{120^\circ + x = 180^\circ}

\sf{\implies x = 180^\circ - 120^\circ}

\sf{\implies x = 60^\circ}

\sf{\therefore} The value of x is 60°

Note:-

An angle - sum property of a triangle states that the sum of all angle of a triangle is always 180°.

Angle - sum property of a quadrilateral states that sum of all the angles of a quadrilateral is always 360°.

Important notes:-

In a right - angled triangle hypotenuse is the biggest side.

Perpendicular of the right-angled triangle is always 90°.

According to Pythagoras theorem,

Square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of square of base and perpendicular.

\sf{(Hypotenuse)^2 = (Perpendicular)^2 + (Base)^2}

Answer:

30° + 90° + x°= 180°(angle \: sum \: property)

110° + x°= 180°

x°= 180° - 110°

x°= 70°
