x = 2.65 (to 3 significant figures and 3 decimal places)

TasmiaJ: 1/2 log (11+4√7) = log (2+x)
=> log (11+4√7)^(1/2) = log (2+x)
=> log [{(11+4√7)^(1/2)} ÷ (2+x)] = 0
=> {(11+4√7)^(1/2)} ÷ (2+x) = 10^0
=> {(11+4√7)^(1/2)} ÷ (2+x) = 1
=> {(11+4√7)^(1/2)} = 2 + x
=> x = {(11+4√7)^(1/2)} - 2
Therefore, x = 2.65
TasmiaJ: arrgh
TasmiaJ: wait
TasmiaJ: I don't I can show it this way
TasmiaJ: I'll have to send a picture
TasmiaJ: but I don't see any options
Simy1: How u got that 10^0
TasmiaJ: when you shift the log to the other side and change its base 10
TasmiaJ: the 0 on the other side becomes its power
Simy1: Ok ..thank you
