If the displacement-time graph is a straight line with an obtuse angle with X-axis (time axis), it means that the displacement is decreasing with time. And, as line is straight, it means velocity is constant, and negative.

If you have taken reference point as origin, then yes, body is coming closer to origin
I hope you know the difference between distance and displacement.
Here the body is coming closer to origin. So, distance increases, but displacement is decreasing
