Answer :-

Q) \: \sf \dfrac{x}{5} = \dfrac{39}{15}

Transposing 5 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign,

\leadsto\sf x = \dfrac{39}{15} \times 5

Reducing the numbers,

\leadsto \sf x = \dfrac{13}{1} \times 1

Now let's multiply the remaining numbers since we can't reduce them anymore.

\leadsto \sf x = 13 \times 1

Multiplying 13 with 1,

\leadsto \underline{\boxed{\sf x = 13}}

To check our answer, let's put 13 in the place of x and see whether LHS = RHS.

LHS

\longmapsto\tt \dfrac{x}{5}

Substituting the value of x,

\longmapsto\tt \dfrac{13}{5}

RHS

\longmapsto\tt \dfrac{39}{15}

Reducing the numbers,

\longmapsto\tt \dfrac{13}{5}

Since LHS = RHS,

Hence verified!
