Answer:

x/y=a+2/a-2

x=(a+2/a-2)y in (x^2-y^2/x^2+y^2)

=>[(a+2/a-2)y]^2-y^2/[(a+2/a-2)y]^2+y^2

=>by solving these you get

(a+2)^2(y^2)-(a-2)^2(y^2)/(a+2)^2(y^2)+(a-2)^2(y^2)

Take y^2 common in numerator and denominator and cancel them.

Then you get the following when you simplify

=>a^2+4a+4-a^2+4a-4/a^2+4a+4+a^2-4a+4

=>8a/2a^2+8

=>4a/a^2+4

Hope my answer is useful.
