GIVEN:

Angle DBC=40°

AC||DB

TO FIND:

value of x

Solution:

Angle ACB= Angle DBC=40°( alternate angle)

In ∆ACB by applying Angle sum property

A+B+C=180°

A+A+40°=180°( Angle A=Angle B)

 ( \sf \bold\because \: it \: is \: isosceles \: triangle.)

2A=180°-40°

2A=140°

A=140°/2

A=70°

X+BAC=180°(Linear pair)

x+70°=180°

x=180°-70°

x=110°

Property used:-

  • Alternate interior angle.
  • Angle sum property of triangle.
  • Isosceles triangle property.
  • Linear pair.
