the value of x should be "-1"
as if we substitute -1 in place of x then we get..
x+x^2+x^3 = -1
we solve LHS
-1+(-1)^2+(-1)^3
-1 +1 +(-1)
-1+1-1
-1 and +1 gets cancelled and we are left with -1
so we get
-1 = -1
LHS = RHS
so the value of x should be -1
as if we substitute -1 in place of x then we get..
x+x^2+x^3 = -1
we solve LHS
-1+(-1)^2+(-1)^3
-1 +1 +(-1)
-1+1-1
