Find The Value Of x+y+z if 1,x,y,z,16 are in G.P.

the answer is quite simple:-

in G.P. the ratio between consecutive terms are equal.

x/1 = y/x= z/y= 16/z

y=x^2

z^2=16y

z^2=16x^2

z=4x

y/x=16/z

y/x=16/4x

y=4

x=2

z=8

Therefore x+y+z=14
