y = angle G =  55 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Note: The picture attached with the question is wrong. Please find the correct diagram attached with this solution.

Solution:

Given that in triangle EFG, EF = EG.

Then EFG is an isosceles triangle with angle E as the vertex angle and angle F and G are base angles.

We know that base angles are equal in an isosceles triangle.

Given angle F is 55 degrees. So angle G is also 55 degrees.  Hence y = 55 degrees.

The sum of the interior angles of any triangle adds up to 180∘.

So the vertex angle will be 180 - 110 = 70 degrees.

Angle E is 70 degrees.

Given :   A triangle ABC showing ∠A=40° and ∠B=40°  , BC = 8 m

To Find : ∠C   ,   Length of AC

Solution:

In given figure  there is no EF  & FG

So answering as per figure

Sum of angles of triangle is 180°

∠A +  ∠B   +  ∠C  = 180°

=> 40° + 40° +  ∠C  = 180°

=> ∠C  = 100°

∠A= ∠B

opposite angle to the equal sides of an isosceles triangle are equal

Hence side BC = AC

BC = 8 cm

=> AC = 8 cm
