m∠3=65°

m∠1=(15y+5)°

Find:

Value of y = ?

Solution:

We know that vertically opposite angles are equal.

So m∠1 = m∠3

=> (15y+5)° = 65°

15°y + 5° = 65°

15°y = 65° - 5°

15°y = 60°

y=\frac{60\°}{15\°} \\

=> y = 4°

Hence the value of y is 4°
