Solution

Given equation

→ 13×( y - 4 ) - 3( y - 9 ) = 5 ( y + 4)

Now solve the equation

→ 13×( y - 4 ) - 3( y - 9 ) = 5 ( y + 4)

→ 13y - 52 - 3y + 27 = 5y + 20

→ 10y - 25 = 5y + 20

→ 10y - 5y = 20 + 25

→ 5y = 45

→y = 45/5

→y = 9

Answer :- y = 9

Now check our equation

→ 13×( y - 4 ) - 3( y - 9 ) = 5 ( y + 4)

Where y = 9

→ 13×( 9 - 4 ) - 3( 9 - 9 ) = 5 ( 9 + 4)

→ 13 × 5 = 5 × 13

→ 13/13=5/5

→1 = 1

LHS = RHS

Answer :-

▪ The value of \boxed{\textsf{\textbf{\red{y = 9}}}}

Given :-

▪ 13(y - 4) - 3(y - 9) = 5(y + 4)

To find :-

▪ The value of y.

Solution :-

\sf{13(y - 4) - 3(y - 9) = 5(y + 4)}

\sf{13y - 52 - 3y + 27 = 5y + 20}

\sf{10y - 25 = 5y + 20}

\sf{10y - 5y = 25 + 20}

\sf{5y = 45}

{\bold{\red{y = 9}}}

\begin{gathered} \\ \underline{\bold{Verification:}}\\\\⇒13(y - 4) - 3(y - 9) = 5(y + 4) \\\\⇒13(9 - 4) - 3(9 - 9) = 5(9 + 4) \\\\ ⇒13(5) - 3(0) = 5(13) \\\\ ⇒65 = 65 \\\\ ★ \rm{Hence\:verified}\: ✔ \end{gathered}
