The values of point A and point B are -0.6 and 0.8.

Explanation

  • First of all let’s find out the value of one section between the 0 and 1 and then we will add this value to idn out the place of point A and point B on the number line.
  • Since between 0 and 1, there are 5 parts which are equal therefore the value of one section will be 1/5 i.e. 0.2.
  • Hence the value of one part is 0.2. To calculate the value of point A we see that it is all the third part i.e. 0.2+0.2+0.2=0.6. But since it is on the left side of the line we have the value of point A as -0.6.
  • Similarly,  since point B is placed at the fourth section then the value will be 0.8.
