Find the values of a and b, so that the polynomial x^3
-10x^2+ax+b is exactly is divisible by (x-1) and (x-2)

Answer:

x(1)=1-10+1a+b. (i)

x(2)=8-40+2a+b. (ii)

subtract (i) from (ii)

You will get the value of a. Then but the value of a in (i) or (ii) and you will get the value of b.
