by distance formula PQ =

√((x-2)^2+(5+3)^2)=10

squaring both sides and simplfying

(x-2)^2+64=100

(x-2)^2=36

x-2=+-(6)

square root on both sides

x-2=6. x-2= -6

x=8. x= -4
