Since the linear equations represent parallel lines thus
A1/A2 = B1/B2 and not equal to C1/C2
Thus by comparing the two equations we see that
A1 = 2 B1 = -3 & C1 = -9
A2 = k B2 = -9 & C2 = -18

Thus,
Since
A1 / A2 = B1/B2
Therefore
2/k = -3/-9
2/k = 1/3
therefore
k = 6
