1) Answer :

  • The value of x = 55°
  • The value of y = 125°
  • The value of z = 125°

Given :

  • The measure of one angle = 55°

To Find :

  • Value of x, y and z.

Solution :

By vertically opposite angle (V.O.A.),

→ x = 55°

→ y + 55° = 180° [Linear pair]

→ y = 180° – 55°

→ y = 125°

Again, by vertically opposite angle (V.O.A.),

→ z = y

→ z = 125°

Hence,

The value of x, y and z is 55°, 125° and 125°.

Verification :

• x + y + z + 55° = 360° [Complete angle]

We have,

  • x = 55°
  • y = 125°
  • z = 125°

→ 55° + 125° + 125° + 55° = 360°

→ 110° + 250° = 360°

→ 360° = 360°

Hence,

The value of x, y and z is 115°, 140° and 40°.

We have,
