since, AB || DE &AE is transversal.

95° = y ( alternate int. angles)

In ∆ABC,

x + 40° = y. ( ext. angle property)

x + 40 = 95

x = 95 - 40 = 55°

Answer:

In trapezium ABDE,

Angle ABD+Angle AED=180°...(opposite

angles)

Angle ABD+95°=180°

Angle ABD=180°-95°

Angle ABD=85°

Angle ABC=85°...(same angle but

different name)

In triangle ABC,

Angle ABC+Angle ACB=Angle CAF............(exterior angle theorem)

85°+40=Angle CAF

Angle CAF=125°

X=Angle ABC

=85°

Y=Angle CAF

=125°
