GIVEN:

Height of Cone = 24cm

Radius of the cone = 7cm

TO FIND:

Volume, TSA and cost of tin.

SOLUTION:

To find the curved surface of cone, we should find the slant height of cone.

l² = h² + r²

l² = (24)² + (7)²

l² = 576 + 49

l² = 625

l = √625

l = 25cm

Slant height of cone is 25cm

Now, let's find the curved surface area and volume of cone.

Curved surface area:

CSA of cone = πrl

= 22/7 × 7 × 25

= 22 × 25

= 550cm²

CSA of cone is 550cm²

Volume:

Volume of cone = 1/3 πr²h

= 1/3 × 22/7 × 7 × 7 × 24

= 22 × 7 × 8

= 1232cm³

Volume of cone is 1232cm³

Cost of tin if the rate is 880 per meter:

CSA of cone = 550cm² = 0.055m²

= .055 × 800

= ₹44

Therefore, the cost of tin is ₹44.
