virus is not considered to be either prokaryotic or eukaryotic because when virus is out side the living body it acts like a non - living but when it is inside a living body it starts acting like living micro organism . It starts to reproduce inside the living body in form of asexual methods i.e.

Binary fission . similarly it lacks many living characteristics.

The scientific research had proved that virus is not made up of cells.
