That's a good example that satisfies this question

...........................................................................

Radius of cone = 12/2 = 6cm

There are two cones

Total Volume = volume of two cones + volume of cylinder

Total volume = 2x 1/3 x 3.14 x 6^2 x 8 + 3.14 x 6^2 x 10

                     = 602.88 + 1130.40

                   = 1733.28 cm^3

Slant height, L, of cone = square root (6^2 + 8^2)

                                      = square root (100)

                                      = 10 cm

Total Surface area = 2 x surface area of curved surface of cone + surface area of curved surface of cylinder

Total surface area = 2 x 3.14 x 6 x 10 + 3.14 x 12 x 10

                              = 753.6 cm^2
