Give, diameter =8.4cm

so, radius =4.2cm
volume =4/3*pi*r³
surface area = 4* pi* ?
put in the value of r IN the formula to
get to required volume are 300.46 cm³
and surface area are 221.76cm²

Final answer:

The Volume of the metallic  sphere is 310.464 cm³

The Surface area of the metallic sphere is 221.76 cm²

Given:

The diameter of a metallic sphere is 8.4 cm

To find:

The volume and surface area of a metallic sphere

Formula to be used:

Volume of the sphere = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

Surface area of the sphere = 4\pi r^{2}

Solution:

Step 1 of 2:

The diameter of a metallic sphere is 8.4 cm

Radius = \frac{8.4}{2}

Radius = 4.2 cm

Volume of the sphere =     \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

Volume of the sphere =  \frac{4}{3} ×  \frac{22}{7} × (4.2)^{3}

Volume of the sphere = 4 × 22 × 4.2 × 1.4 × 0.6

Volume of the sphere = 310.464 cm³

Step 2 of 2:

Surface area of the sphere =  4\pi r^{2}

Surface  area of the sphere = 4  ×  \frac{22}{7} × (4.2)^{2}

Surface area of the sphere = 4  × 22 × 4.2 × 0.6

Surface area of the sphere = 221.76 cm²
