volume of cone = \pi  [tex]r^{2}\\[/tex]

(where pi = 22/7; r = 7cm; l = 25cm)

using pythagoras theorum:

r^{2} + h^{2} = l^{2}

7^{2} + h^{2} = 25^{2}

625 - 49 = 576 =  h^{2} </p><p>hence h = 24. </p><br /><p>now, using volume formula: </p><p>volume of cone = [tex]\pi  [tex]r^{2}\\[/tex]

volume = 3696 cm^{3}

the formulae of volume of cone is 1/3 ×22/7×r×h

=1/3×22/7×7×25
=1/3×22×25
=16.66
