Question (1) :

What is asked :-

  • Volume of the cone = ?

What is given :-

  • Radius of the cone = 10 mm
  • Height of the cone = 18 mm

Solution :-

Formula to calculate the volume of the cone :-

  • Volume of the cone = ⅓ πr²h

where,

  • Take π = 22/7
  • r = radius
  • h = height

Substituting the given values :-

→ Volume = ⅓ × 22/7 × 10 × 10 × 18

→ Volume = 22/7 × 10 × 10 × 6

→ Volume = 1,885.71

Therefore, the volume of cone = 1,885.71 mm³

Question (2) :-

What is asked :-

  • Volume of the rectangle prism

what is given :-

  • Length of the rectangle prism = 11.25 dm
  • Breadth of the rectangle prism = 7.5 cm
  • Height of the rectangle prism = 4.13 dm

Solution :-

Firstly, we will convert he breadth of the rectangle prism from cm into dm. Because units should be same while doing calculation for the correct answer.

As we know,

  • 1 dm = 10 cm

So, in order to convert the value of breadth from cm into dm multiply it by 10.

→ Breadth = 7.5 cm

→ Breadth = 7.5 × 10

→ Breadth = 75 dm

Formula to calculate the volume of rectangle prism = l × b × h

where,

  • l denotes the length
  • b denotes the breadth
  • h denotes the height

Substituting the given values :-

→ Volume = 11.25 × 75 × 4.13

→ Volume = 3,484.6875

Therefore, the volume of the rectangle prism = 3,484.6875 dm³
