Given:

Length of Glue stick = 14 cm

Diameter, D = 1 cm

We know that Radius, r is half of Diameter.

r = \dfrac{D}{2}\\\Rightarrow r = \dfrac{1}{2} cm

To find: The volume of material required to make six such glue sticks.

Solution:

We know that Glue sticks are cylindrical in shape.

Volume of a cylinder is given as:

V = \pi r^{2} h

Volume of one such glue stick:

\Rightarrow \pi (\dfrac{1}{2})^{2} \times 14\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{22}{7}\times \dfrac{1}{4} \times 14\\\Rightarrow V = 11\ cm^{3}

There are six such glue sticks, hence volume of six glue sticks:

6 \times V\\\Rightarrow 6 \times 11 = 66\ cm^{3}
