Given :-

  • Length of the cuboid = 7m

  • Breadth (wide) of the cuboid = 5m

  • Height of the cuboid = 3m

To Find :-

  • Volume of the cuboid

  • Total surface area of the cuboid

  • Lateral surface area of the cuboid

Solution :-

(1) Volume of the cuboid = l × b × h

where,

  • l = length of the cuboid

  • b = Breadth of the cuboid

  • h = Height of the cuboid

By substituting values,

➾ 7m × 5m × 3m

➾ 35m × 3m

⠀➩ 105m³

∴ The volume of the cuboid is 105m³

(2) TSA = 2( lb + bh + hl )

where,

  • TSA = Total surface area of the cuboid

  • l = Length of the cuboid

  • b = Breadth of the cuboid

  • h = Height of the cuboid

By substituting values,

➾ 2( 7 × 5 + 5 × 3 + 3 × 7 )

➾ 2( 35m + 15m + 21m )

➾ 2( 71m )

⠀➩ 142m²

∴ The Total surface area of the cuboid is 142m²

(3) LSA = 2h ( l + b )

where,

  • LSA = Lateral surface area of the cuboid

  • h = Height of the cuboid

  • l = Length of the cuboid

  • b = Breadth of the cuboid

By substituting values,

➾ 2 × 3m ( 7m + 5m )

➾ 6m ( 12m )

⠀⠀➩ 72m²

∴ The Lateral surface area of the cuboid is 72m²
