Volume of rectangular block=l×b×h

=250×20×8 cm^3

=40000cm^3

Density=Mass/volume

Mass=density×volume

=40000×7.8 gm

=312000gm

=312 kg

Concept:

Mass to the volume ratio can be defined as the Density.

The volume of the rectangular block, V = lbh

where b is the breadth, l is length, and h is the height.

Given:

The length, breadth, and height of the rectangular block are 250cm×20cm×8cm.

Density of cast iron, d = 7.8gm/cm³

Find:

The weight of the rectangular block.

Solution:

The volume of a rectangular block can be calculated as,

V =l×b×h

V =250×20×8 cm³

V =40000 cm³

As the Density=Mass/volume

Mass = density×volume

m = d × V

m = 40000 ×7.8 gm

m = 312000gm

m = 312 kg

Hence, the weight of a rectangular block of cast iron is 312 kg.
