Given that a charge q = 2 × 10^-6 C is brought from infinity to a point where the potential (V) is equal to 10⁴ V.

We have to find the work done to move this charge .The work done will be equal to the product of charge and the potential difference.

Work done = charge × potential

= qV

= 2 × 10^-6 × 10⁴

= 0.02 J

The work done by the external force = 0.02 J
