Hey Friend !

f(x)=x² -2x - 8

x²- 4x + 2x - 8

= x [ x - 4 ] + 2 [ x - 4 ]

= [ x + 2 ] [ x - 4 ]

Hence ,
zeroes are :
- 2 and 4
