for the zeros of the equation let 2x^2-11x+15=0
by splitting the middle term 2x^2-6x-5x+15=0
2x(x-3)-5(x-3)=0
(x-3)(2x-5)
x=3 ,5/2
hope this will help you dear

= 2 x^2 - 11 x + 15

To factorize any quadratic polynomial middle term has to be split in such a way that its product should be equal to product of first term and third term and sum should be equal to middle term.

= 2 x^2 - 6 x - 5 x + 15

= 2 x ( x - 3 ) - 5 ( x - 3 )

= ( x - 3 ) ( 2 x - 5 ) = 0

 ( x - 3 ) = 0  or ( 2 x - 5 ) = 0

  x = 3           or 2 x = 5

                      or  x = 5 / 2.

Zeroes of 2x^2 - 11 x + 15 are 3 and 5/2.
